Hello to you at Polish Pastry,

I've recently returned from Halifax, Nova Scotia where I spent 3 years in the maritimes before returning to Montreal last week. As a freelance photographer and instructor I have been fortunate to travel many countries and lived and work across Canada , literally in every city you see on a straight line in the weather map, as far west as Victoria to far east as Halifax. I've also visited Brazil, Costa Rica, and Tunisia, and prior to being a Canadian immigrant, lived in the UK and my native land of Singapore.

And believe me, I have tasted a lot of coffee and doughnuts, and aside from the pastries I've tasted in Tunisia and the exotic green tea and pine nuts (a specialty of the mediterranean made in Sidi Bou Said), I have never really enjoyed my doughnut and coffee due to their heaviness and sugar.

That all changed for me this morning after noticing your sign of special ponki et cafe for $1,99. It was very light and very delicious. A subtle coffee and the ponki with apricot is so fluffy, I could advertise for you on TV anytime.

Anyway, before I left, I interrupted Dorote with her work, to ask her for your business card so I can brag about how good your doughnut and coffee special is. Dorote kindly informed me too that I could ring you to order doughnuts whenever I like to pick a half dozen or so. She efficiently and smilingly suggested to call in the morning so the baker could prepare the choice doughnuts to reserve for me and have them ready for pickup in the afternoon.

Well, I've already written too much here, and broke the rules of email. But I feel you need to know that I will be back to sample more of your Polish delights. I don't usually fall for too many pastries in Canada or USA, but when I do, I usually go ape for them, and never fail to let the owners know I think they're awesome...

I look forward to dropping in for ponki and cafe sometime again. Yes, I am back to live in Montreal and plan to live here for a bit.
